Superscript

Superscript raises text above the baseline — for exponents, ordinals, and reference markers. Use the ^ short-function with your content in brackets:

^[text]

The brackets matter: they let the superscript hold more than one character cleanly.

Examples

Einstein's famous result: E = mc^[2]

The 1^[st] of May

This renders the 2 and the st raised, half-height, right where they belong.

Pairs with subscript

Superscript and subscript share the same bracketed style — ^[...] goes up, _[...] goes down. They're handy together for things like isotopes: ^[14]C or chemical formulas.
